Privacy Policy

Who we are

AIM Home Inspections is a family-owned, TREC-licensed home inspection company serving Aubrey, Oak Point, and the greater Dallas and Fort Worth area. This policy covers our website at aimhomeinspectionstx.com. It does not cover other websites we link to.

What we collect

Information you give us

Several pages on this site have forms: the inspection request form and the guide downloads. When you fill one out, you choose what to send us. Depending on the form, that is typically:

You do not have to use a form at all. You are always welcome to just call.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours is served by a hosting provider that keeps standard server logs. Those logs can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you viewed, and the time you viewed them. We use this only to keep the site running, secure, and fast. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is being used: how many people visit, which pages they actually read, and roughly where they arrived from. As part of that it records things like your IP address, device, and browser. We read it as traffic patterns, not as a file on you.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not use any of this to follow you around the web or target ads at you.

Cookies

This site sets analytics cookies through Google Analytics, named _ga and similar, so it can tell a repeat visit from a first one. Some of the third party services below may set cookies of their own when their content loads on a page. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, and the site will still work if you do.

Third party services we use

A few parts of this site are provided by outside companies. When their content loads, they may receive your IP address and basic technical information, and anything you deliberately submit to them.

Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy policy, and we would encourage you to read them if you want the detail.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to do the thing you asked us to do, and to follow up about it. In practice that means:

If you ask us to stop contacting you, we will stop.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent or trade it. We do not hand your contact details to unrelated companies so they can market to you.

We may share your information with people who help us serve you, such as your real estate agent or builder, but only when it is part of what you have asked us to help with. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Text messages and email

If you give us your phone number or email address, you are agreeing that we may contact you there about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of texts by replying STOP, and out of marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link. Opting out of marketing does not stop us from replying to something you asked us directly.

How long we keep it

We hold on to your information for as long as we need it to help you, and after that for as long as record keeping rules require. When we no longer need it, we delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Texas residents and residents of other states may have specific rights along these lines. To make a request, call us at (940) 343-2062 or use the request inspection page. We may need to verify who you are before we act on the request.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us, and the services we rely on encrypt data in transit. That said, no website or internet transmission is ever completely secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.

Children

This site is meant for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will remove it.

Links to other sites

Where we link out to another website, that site has its own privacy practices and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check back from time to time.
