New Construction Inspections

Independent Eyes Before You Move In

New Doesn't Mean Flawless

North Texas is one of the fastest-growing new-home markets in the country, with fresh construction rising across Aubrey, Oak Point, Prosper, Celina, and beyond. Builders run their own quality checks, but those inspectors work for the builder, not for you.

AIM provides an independent, third-party inspection of your newly built home before you move in. Clients regularly tell us Ricky finds things a builder's own walkthrough missed, sometimes even after another inspection company's pre-drywall visit.

A Full Evaluation Before You Move In

A Final Inspection is a comprehensive visual evaluation of your home's readily accessible systems and components. Ricky inspects and operates accessible systems to evaluate their performance, identify installation deficiencies, and report conditions that may affect the safety or function of the home before you move in.

You'll get a same-day report with photos/videos, so you can bring any issues back to the builder while they're still easy to fix, before you're the one living with them.

Why It Matters

New Homes Still Need an Inspection

Six reasons an independent inspection matters, even on a home nobody's ever lived in.

  1. Builders Inspect for Completion. We Inspect for You.

Your builder's walkthrough is designed to confirm the home is ready for closing. Our inspection provides an independent evaluation of the home's readily accessible systems and components, helping identify defects, safety concerns, and workmanship issues before you take ownership.

  2. Workmanship Varies by Crew

No two homes are built exactly alike. Framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, and other components are installed by different subcontractors, and the quality of workmanship can vary from one home to the next, even within the same community.

  3. A Punch List Isn't a Home Inspection

A builder's walkthrough is typically focused on cosmetic items and project completion. A home inspection looks beyond paint touch-ups and finish details to identify defects that may affect the home's performance, safety, or long-term durability.

  4. Code Is the Minimum Standard

Municipal code inspections verify minimum building standards, not every aspect of workmanship or system performance. A home inspection evaluates the home's accessible systems in their completed state to help identify defects that could impact how the home functions after you move in.

  5. Leverage While It's Easy to Fix

Before closing, the builder is still focused on completing your home. An independent inspection helps identify deficiencies while there's still time to have them addressed before you receive the keys.

  6. Your Warranty Starts the Day You Close

Your builder's one-year warranty begins the moment you close on your home. As your home goes through seasonal changes and normal settling, defects may not become apparent until months later. Our 11-Month Warranty Inspection helps identify those issues before your warranty expires, giving you time to submit repairs while they're still covered.

From Foundation to Warranty

Building a home doesn't end when the concrete is poured, or even when you receive the keys. AIM offers inspections at every critical stage of construction, from the foundation and pre-drywall phases to your final inspection before closing and your 11-month warranty inspection.

Each inspection builds on the last, helping identify defects while they're easiest to correct and giving you confidence throughout the entire building process.
